Assure Pregnancy and Baby Loss Support

Losing a child during pregnancy or at birth can be a devastating experience. With care and compassion, our trained practitioners will help you work through the feelings of loss, grief and anger towards healing and hope. If you have experienced the loss of a baby shortly after birth, through miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic/molar pregnancy or medical termination, you may find it helpful to talk to someone about your experience. It is important to give yourself the time and space to grieve and work through the difficult thoughts and emotions surrounding the loss of your baby. We know that it might feel as if others around you think it's time that you 'moved on' but we recognise that your experience will always be part of your story. We offer specialist support for you and your partner, either together or individually, where you can come to terms with your loss. We sensitively lead you through a Baby Loss Programme, in a safe and caring environment, with tools which will help you find the strength to move forward. About Us We are a Christian charity offering compassionate care by trained staff and volunteers. We have worked in the Chelmsford area for over 30 years, supporting people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Our practitioners work within the Ethical Framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We frequently receive referrals from the NHS and we also welcome self-referral from both individuals and couples. Our services are available free of charge to all who need them, regardless of gender, race, sexuality or religious belief. Our funding comes from the generosity of grant funders, individuals and local Christian churches. Assure operates from our Centre at the heart of Chelmsford, Essex. Our premises are located within walking distance of train and bus services and there are car parks nearby. The Centre has a waiting area and bathroom facilities. There is step-free access to our reception area and our two counselling rooms. Please let us know if you have particular access needs.
