Compassionate counsellor supporting individuals/couples with perinatal concerns including infertility, miscarriage and baby/child loss with sensitivity, embracing diversity and difference

The people I support are from all backgrounds, and I have several professional roles. I lead bereavement services in a busy NHS hospital and I am a fertility counsellor for a national clinic. I help people navigate: grief, baby/child loss, infertility, preconception/conception, IVF, pregnancy/birth/parenthood, divorce, relationship issues, anger, trauma and life transitions all of which can lead to isolation, stress and anxiety for individuals and/or those around them. I am also passionate about supporting Dads and same sex partners who may struggle to support their partners and process how they are feeling.

Through my work I have gained deeper knowledge of trauma, grief and loss, and I am an accredited practitioner and trainer for the Foundation of Infant Loss and I have completed advanced training with the British Infertility Counselling Association and the baby loss organisation Sands.

I hold a Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis, and also an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I can offer single one off sessions, short term working or longer term support as needed.

SummaryI’m Louise, and my approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration. I create a safe and non-judgemental space working online, by phone or in person in Hampshire. I am a member of the BACP, NCPS and BICA with further training in perinatal psychotherapy and also working as a fertility counsellor.
