I have been providing high quality psychological support for clients experiencing fertility and pregnancy loss for over 20 years to the present, registered with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA)/ British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) as a senior accredited Specialist Fertility Counsellor. Compassionate, robust psychological support is provided for: all stages of fertility treatment; pregnancy; unsuccessful pregnancies after failed implantation, early or late miscarriage, still birth; early infant loss; preparation for ongoing treatment or alternatives of childlessness, gamete donation, fostering, adoption.
I provide training for companies seeking to improve staff policies and after care for fertility, pregnancy and infant loss.
Foundational to my therapeutic work is my earned status as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy since 2005 (UKCP). This in-depth training spanning 6 years, and subsequent CPD, enables me to: undertake subtle initial assessments with clients to assess risk factors, and clarify strategies for how best to alleviate their suffering. Over 20 years, I have worked in settings including: NHS psychiatric services, GP referral pathways, local government employees and corporate Employee Assistance Programmes, UK and global fertility clinics, and with self-referring clients in private practice.
